Chelsea Safer Neighbourhoods Team update

Good Afternoon,

 

An update regarding recent activity on our Wards.

  • DRUGS: Two offenders were arrested on the King's Road for supply and distribution of Cocaine when they were seen handing out cards with QR codes on them for dealing drugs. Both offenders properties were searched and drugs, mobile phones and intelligence was seized from the properties. Both offenders now face criminal proceedings.
  • ARMED OFFENDER: An offender armed with a machete was seen entering The World's End Estate. Residents raised the alarm and the offender was stopped and arrested by an Armed Police Unit when he left the estate on The King's Road. Offender now faces criminal proceedings. 
  • DRINK DRIVING: Two offenders were stopped on The King's Road under the suspicion of Motor Related Offences. Both were arrested and face criminal proceedings.
  • WEAPONS SEARCHES: As part of the Met Police response to knife crime, OPERATION SCEPTRE involved a week of searches on our wards for knives and other offensive weapons. A number of weapons were discovered and disposed of. In collaboration with RBKC a Knife Amnesty van is being used to encourage weapons to be surrendered.
  • IMMIGRATION: Officers from Chelsea were involved in an Immigration Operation on The Borough. Multiple suspects were checked for status and a vehicle was impounded for Motoring Offences. One suspect was arrested and taken to custody for Immigration Offences.
  • WARRANTS and CLOSURE ORDERS: Officers are continually working on gaining Warrants and Closure Orders on properties that continue to engage in Anti Social Behaviour.
